Poem 43

Untitled

i cut my hair short,
thinned it out to lighten
the load on my shoulders
and to lift the weight,
the burdens and mostly
shed light to the darkness
that’s engulfed me.

each year that passes,
i let my hair grow
only to cut it as time
restarts again.
